This season Alex has been one of the stalwarts of the Bulldogs middle relief corps with a record of 5-1 and a 4.09 ERA over 33 innings pitched. He has made 14 appearances in relief plus three starts with 18 walks and 38 strikeouts. This showing is a marked improvement over his freshman totals of 4-2, 4.81 ERA, walking 27 and striking out 30 over 33.2 innings pitched. At Chestatee High School, he set a season record for strikeouts with 89 and a career record of 182. He struck out 15 in a 4-3 win in the regional playoffs against Gainesville. An honor student in high school, he is majoring in Biology at Georgia.
