The junior right hander also serves as the punter on the Notre Dame football team.  In 2008 on the gridiron he punted 54 times with an average of 41.1 yards per punt.  On the baseball field last year he was named second team all-Big East, going 6-3 with a 4.52 ERA in 69.2 innings.  At Blessed Trinity High School in Alpharetta, Ga., he was an all-state centerfielder in 2006.  Eric is majoring in finance.
