Thomas racked up the awards after a freshman season at Elon in which he went 5-2 with a 4.15 ERA and 10 saves.  He was the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, first team All-Conference, a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, and second team Freshman All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Ping!  Thomas is majoring in business administration.
